Eveline Wouters

Fontys UAS

Eveline Wouters is a professor of Health Innovations & Technology (HIT) at Fontys Paramedical. She is trained as a physician and epidemiologist. Alongside her role at Fontys, she is an extraordinary professor of ‘Successful Technological Innovations in Healthcare’ at Tranzo, TSB, Tilburg University, and part of the academic workplace Technological and Social Innovations for Mental Health. Additionally, she serves on the supervisory boards of healthcare organizations ASVZ, Prins Heerlijk, Sevagram, and Oktober, is a member of the Provincial Health Council (Brabant Advies), and is an editorial board member of ICT and Health.

Expertise

Acceptance and implementation of technological and social innovations in healthcare, development of new technological applications in healthcare from the perspective of and in co-creation with users: patients, relatives, informal caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Ethical aspects of technology use in healthcare. Accessibility of technology in healthcare and digital inequality.
