Towards Design-Driven International Fieldlabs

Join us at The Social Hub Eindhoven for an inspiring workshop focused on design-driven fieldlabs. Find out how designers can benefit from international collaboration, and how the innovative concept of an “international fieldlab” can enhance such partnership. Sign up here to join! 

Inspired by the work of Borre Akkersdijk (ByBorre) and Troy Nachtigall (AMFI) in circular textiles, participants will gain insights into the opportunities and challenges of global collaboration. Pieter van Os (Circo) and Marcel den Hollander (HR) will share their challenges in circular product development partnerships. Juliette Bekkering (TU/e) will share what happened in the area of architecture, and Koos Zwaan and Peggy van Schijndel (Inholland) will discuss possible cooperation in the music industry. 

The insights from these collaborations will serve as a basis to introduce and apply the newly developed International Fieldlabs Framework, presented by Aranka Dijkstra (Powered by Connections). The workshop aims to understand how International Fieldlabs may support designers in future global collaborations and to reflect on the lessons learned from various experiences in Hong Kong. Among other things, we will discuss how cooperation on very different topics can mutually reinforce each other. 

We invite designers, researchers, government representatives, industry professionals, and anyone interested in international collaboration networks to join us, learn, and share their experiences! Access is free after registration, please register before 14 October. A limited number of seats is available for the work sessions
