Mario de Zeeuw is the Managing Director of Panton, a design studio that focuses on creating innovative products, services, and processes for the healthcare sector. He leads Panton in developing creative solutions aimed at improving health and care by integrating user-centered design with the expertise of healthcare professionals and patients. Under his leadership, Panton has worked on projects like De Beweegcirkel to encourage physical activity and Speeltuinbende, a project promoting playground accessibility for children with and without disabilities.

De Zeeuw is also an advocate for the role of designers in healthcare innovation. He is involved in the Creatieve Coalitie voor Gezondheid, a collaborative initiative of design agencies working to demonstrate the value of creative solutions in healthcare. Mario has a strong belief in the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between designers, healthcare providers, and behavioral scientists to develop solutions that are not only innovative but also effective in promoting behavioral change and improving the user experience.

His work focuses on addressing contemporary health challenges, including the use of technology to monitor chronic diseases at home and fostering long-term healthy lifestyles. He is also involved in the Nederlands Platform voor Gedragsontwerp, which collaborates with behavioral scientists to ensure that design interventions are grounded in scientific research and lead to measurable behavior change.
