Work in Progress

Research groups (lectoraten) at Dutch universities of applied sciences conduct applied design research within the context of higher professional education (HBO). The research groups presented here are engaged in design-based research around themes such as healthcare, nutrition, construction, fashion, and sustainability. They focus on addressing the social and economic challenges of today and tomorrow. By connecting knowledge with creativity, their research generates new insights and innovative applications. This results in surprising and valuable outcomes for individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
