How can the design researcher function as a catalyst of change? NADR recognises seven roles: the developer, aimed at developing new solutions; the discoverer, aimed at developing new knowledge; the initiator, aimed at exploring new possibilities; the change manager, aimed at organisational transformation; the networker, aimed at connecting people and organisations; the interpreter, aimed at interacting between different concepts and approaches; and the reframer, the one who interprets and gives meaning to achieved results.
