NADR employs an annual knowledge & research cycle, where each year is dedicated to a specific research theme. These themes guide the exchange of knowledge and experiences among members, fostering the development of the applied design research community.

The outcomes of these exchanges are documented in a joint publication, which is presented at our annual event: the NADR symposium. This symposium also serves as the starting point for the subsequent knowledge cycle.

NADR’s knowledge cycle aligns with the national research agenda on Key Enabling Methodologies (KEMs), part of the Dutch Dutch Knowledge and Innovation Agenda focussed on ‘Maatschappelijk Verdienvermogen’ (KIA MV).
