our research themes
NADR employs an annual knowledge cycle in which each year has its own research theme. Based on these themes, members exchange knowledge and experience, allowing the community focusing on applied design research to further develop. The results of the knowledge exchange is documented in a joint publication that is presented during the annual NADR symposium, which also serves as the starting point for the next annual knowledge cycle. NADR’s knowledge cycle is linked to the national research agenda focused on Key Enabling Methodologies (KEMs), which is part of the Dutch Knowledge and Innovation Agenda focussed on ‘Maatschappelijk Verdienvermogen’ (KIA MV).
